Why the templates are free. A document you can download is a document you can copy. Rather than pretend otherwise, the whole template library is free with an account — PDF and editable Word. What you pay for is the assessment, the certificate and the record that someone completed the training, because that is the part an inspector asks about and the part we can actually stand behind.
About the certificate. These are theory courses. A certificate would record that a named person completed the theory and passed its assessment. Automated certificates are in development. It is not an accredited qualification. Many countries require practical assessment as well before theory counts towards a statutory requirement, so check what applies where the person works.
Questions
The templates are really free?
Yes, both formats, with a free account. They are the reason most people find this site, and gating them served nobody.
What happens after twelve months?
Individual access stops renewing unless you buy again — there is no automatic charge. Any certificate you earn will stay in your account once that is built.
Can I use the templates for clients?
Yes, under the licence: adapt them and issue them under your own document control. You may not resell them as templates.
VAT. SafetyOrbit is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and none is recoverable on these prices.
What is not built yet. Automated assessment scoring, saved training records and downloadable certificates are in development and are not part of what you would be paying for today. The lessons, the diagram library, the templates and the assessment question sets all exist now. We would rather say this than have you discover it.
