What you may do with the templates, diagrams and lessons — and where our responsibility ends and yours begins.
What you may do
With a paid licence you may adapt any template, issue it under your own document control, and put your own name and logo on it. You may use the diagrams inside your own training material, toolbox talks, method statements and risk assessments. You may do this for your own organisation and for clients you are working for.
What you may not do
You may not resell, redistribute or publish the templates or diagrams as templates or as a library, whether free or paid. You may not pass your account to another company. The material stays licensed to you, not sold to you.
Where responsibility sits
Every template is a starting point, not a finished document. A risk assessment is only valid for the site, the task and the people it was written for. Whoever signs it takes responsibility for it. Downloading a document from this site does not transfer that responsibility to us, and it will not defend anyone who issued a document they had not read and adapted.
Statutory training
Mandatory occupational safety training is regulated nationally. Within the EU the duty descends from Framework Directive 89/391/EEC and each member state transposes it into its own law, with its own rules on who may deliver statutory training, what it must cover, and how long it remains valid. The same applies outside the EU under local law.
SafetyOrbit is not an accredited training provider and does not deliver statutory training. The courses are theory courses. A completion certificate records that a named person completed the theory and passed its assessment, and states that on its face. Whether theory alone satisfies a statutory requirement varies by country — many also require practical assessment — and it is for the employer or the individual to check what applies where they work. The certificate does not discharge an employer’s statutory duty and does not make anyone a competent person.
Standards
Lessons cite EN standards and EU directives by number and explain what they require. They do not reproduce the standards themselves, which are copyright to CEN and the national standards bodies. Where a decision depends on an exact test value, class threshold or clause, obtain the standard.
Editions cited on this site were last checked against the published catalogue in August 2026. Standards are revised; check the current edition before relying on a citation in a document you issue.
Refunds
If the material does not fit how you work, tell us within 30 days of purchase and we refund it in full. For employer plans this applies to the whole plan, not per seat.
